Some Chilliwack City councillors have championed transportation over the years, with mixed results. I beleive that while transporation falls under shared governmental responsibility, that we could do more remove barriers for youth and seniors relying on public transport.

Chilliwack has a big heart when it comes to taking care of those who have fallen through the cracks, and we've done some incredible things right here at home. But when other municipalities don't contirbute the same efforts, it ends up costing our city - our tax payers - more than their share. Chilliwack spent $5.2M last year on homelessness, over$1M of which was for private security. We need to ensure that neighbouring muinicipalities share the load and decrase the burden on our business and communities.

With the possibility of some councillors leaving, I want to make sure that we continue - even enhance - the current trajectory so that our cities have walkable amenities and green space in all neighbourhoods.
